SIU Alum Chris Bury has been a National Correspondent for ABC's Nightline since 1993. Now, the network is sending him back to Chicago as Midwest National Correspondent. That's good news on two fronts. First, we'll get to see more of Chris' reporting on other ABC News programs. And, since he's closer to Carbondale, perhaps we'll get to see him more often talking with students.
Chris has always been willing to come back to campus when he can. But now the logistics should be a little easier.

this is a great opportunity for the students to meet and greet Chris and get inside info. to help better our future careers...I can't wait for him to come and visit SIUC's campus, and more importantly congrats for his promotion.
I am very excited that Chris is coming to SIUC and we as students can meet him and tell us information that can help us further our careers and understand the innerworkings of the system. It's chances like these that students take for granted to learn from the pro's.
Hopefully SINBA can track him down for the Alumni Conference, he'd be a great Guest Speaker
