Suspended for Being Insensitive

Just a few days after being named National Association of Hispanic Journalists' Broadcast Journalist of the Year, a Dallas reporter has been suspended by her station. It happened after viewer complaints about the way Rebecca Aguilar interviewed a 70-year-old man who had shot and killed an intruder. Read about it here and comment below.

this is pretty interesting....It would be nice to read in more to what she actually asked him but it does seem like she treated a sensitive issue pretty insensitively...but maybe this isnt coincidence and this man deserved to be a little harsh with

I wish I could have seen the video, because then maybe I could better understand the situation. If maybe she would have asked the questions differently or worded it differently as to not sound insensitive but still get the message across without sounding like she is blaming a 70-year old man, who was obviously trying to protect himself.

I want to see the video to see if she really was being insensitive. I agree with Maria, if she would have asked the questions in a different way, it could have made a difference...

I want to see the video clip as well as everyone else to be the judge of her being insensitive, but it does make a difference as to how a person talks to you and/or ask you a uestions, depending on the words used, one may get offended.
