In ye olden days, AP or UPI newswire teletypes would spit out a constant stream of paper in newsrooms. Editors or reporters would have to periodically use rulers to tear apart the continuous spool of paper into individual stories. These stories would be sorted into baskets or hooks on the wall. This was called "stripping the wire". In the same way, this blog will attempt to sort through relevant content on the internet to identify and "strip out" items of interest for my students.

alt.news wins 5 Emmy's!!!! check out the GREAT reviews!!!
That is great. It's good to know that SIU grads are actually doing something productive with their degree. Hopefully, that will be the story for most of us currently in the RT program, lol!
Awards like this will definitely help the SIU RT department. Even though she didn't do it when she was at SIUC, she must have learned enough to make something Emmy worthy!
This is something to commend to know that SIU grads are being proactive and productive with their degrees. I would love to do the same!!

From job fairs and through talking to people in the business I have discovered that saluki's in RT have a history of being very successful. I am happy for her but not that surprised.
