Media critic Eric Deggans says Tiger Woods is getting by without facing the tough questions. He says sports journalists are letting Woods control the story.

In ye olden days, AP or UPI newswire teletypes would spit out a constant stream of paper in newsrooms. Editors or reporters would have to periodically use rulers to tear apart the continuous spool of paper into individual stories. These stories would be sorted into baskets or hooks on the wall. This was called "stripping the wire". In the same way, this blog will attempt to sort through relevant content on the internet to identify and "strip out" items of interest for my students.

I am so tired of hear about Tiger..I wish everyone would just let it go. This is between him and his wife and the 13 other ladies he had relations with..better judgment call needed? Yes. But everyday headlines, no!
I'm with Brittney on this. Yes, when it first happened on Thanksgiving, this whole thing fell into the "novelty" category of news. It is unfortunate that America has reached the point where it enjoys hearing about scandals regarding celebrities, but that is just how it is. Again, as Brittney said, we know what happened; it should now be left to Tiger to sort out the problem(s) with his wife, mistresses, etc. If a final "resolution" is reached (stays with his wife, divorce, etc.) is reached, then THAT could be reported; until then, just leave Tiger to sort out his affairs (no pun intended).
Tiger isn't genuine at all when he speaks. He should just shut off. Personally, I don't care at all what Tiger did or what he is doing. I like watching him play golf and I'd really like to see him break Jack's record of 18 majors. As for personal life, who cares?

I think everyone just needs to leave Tiger alone. Just because he made a few bad choices that doesn't take away from his ability to play golf. His infidelity needs to be between him & his wife.
This story is so old now. They need to leave Tiger Woods alone. There are so many more important issues that can be discussed in the media besides a man that cheated on his wife. The media always blow up situations involving stars and their private lives, they need to let it go and mind theirs. Tiger can do what he wants, golf can't function without him.

I am tired of hearing for Tiger as well! He's a horrible husband but a great golfer. So lets just focus on the positive and go back to how he's an amazing golfer!
His reputation is already tarnished the way it is. He never was paid all of that money for being a good husband - or even a good man. He's the greatest golfer to ever play the game. Personal life, no matter who you are, is nobody's business.
